Incident

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 1st at 112 Leaman Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a gas leak, Chief 24 only requested for Command function.  Chief Young responded, traveled 2 miles and he was in service 20 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 1st at 1439 Jerry Lane for an assist to Penryn Fire Co. on a 2nd alarm dwelling, tanker fill site to fill tankers.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled 18 miles and we were in service 4 hours and 58 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 2nd at 52 W. Millport Road for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire with heavy smoke and fire from rear of dwelling.  1 engine, 13 fire personnel responded, traveled 10 miles and we were in service 2 hours and 52 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 2nd at 1575 Highlands Drive for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on an automatic fire alarm (water flow).  1 engine, 7 fire personnel responded, traveled 8 miles and we were in service 42 minutes.

PUBLIC SERVICE – Mar. 3rd at 29 Warwick Road for tree across driveway pulling wires down with transformer.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, 11 fire personnel responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 26 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 5th at 16 E. Orange Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a working dwelling fire.  1, duty vehicle, 13 fire personnel responded, traveled 8 miles and we were in service 1 hour 52 minutes.

SPILL CONTROL FROM VEHICE ACCIDENT – Mar. 6th at 300 Becker Road for a two vehicle accident due to icy roadway.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 11 fire personnel responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 41 minutes. 

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 7th at 542 Wood View Drive for an assist to Brunnerville Fire Co. on a dwelling fire but we were recalled while still in station.  No apparatus, 15 fire personnel responded, traveled no miles and we were in service 5 minutes.

DWELLING/CHIMNEY FIRE – Mar. 9th at 16 Sherri Lane for a dwelling chimney fire.  2 engines, duty vehicle, Lititz Fire Co. truck, 16 fire personnel responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 34 minutes. 

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 10th at 800 S. Cedar Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on an electrical dwelling fire above breaker box.  2 engines, duty vehicle, 21 fire personnel responded, traveled 6 miles and we were in service 1 hour 5 minutes.

MOBILE HOME FIRE – Mar. 28th at 175 Weidler Lane for a reported clothes dryer on fire, occupant tried his fire extinguisher but it didn’t work.  2 engines, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 36 minutes.  Assisted by Brunnerville Fire Co. engine, West Earl Fire Co. engine and tanker, and Lititz Fire Co. truck.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 11 incidents for the month of March.  Responding to those calls were 127 fire personnel, responded, traveled 66 miles, and we were in service 14 hours and 11 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 72 calls, 144 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,002 miles and we were in service 56.2 hours.

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 83 for the month of March.
