Incident

ASSIST – Oct. 3rd at 64 Sherry Drive for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire but upon our arrival we were staged and then released.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 9 miles, and we were in service 19 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 6th at 1054 Lititz Pike for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a building fire but we were recalled while responding.  1 engine, 7 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 3 miles, and we were in service 8 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 17th at 748 Rothsville Road for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a mobile home fire but we were recalled while in station.  Duty vehicle, 7 firefighters, 1 fire police, 2 junior firefighters responded, traveled no miles, and we were in service 6 minutes. 

AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARM – Oct. 22nd at 2063 Main Street for an automatic fire alarm due to unknown reason for activation, owner will notify alarm company.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 4 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled .5 mile, and we were in service 16 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 23rd at 4361 Oregon Pike for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on a commercial building fire, we were staged and not use.  1 engine, 9 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 8 miles, and we were in service 1 hour and 3 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 25th at 550 Old Akron Road for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on a dwelling fire, no services needed and we were held in staging. 1 engine, 9 firefighters, 3 junior firefighter responded, traveled 10 miles, and we were in service 17 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 25th at 177 Old Mill Road for an assist to Ephrata Pioneer Fire Co. on a second alarm apartment building.  1 engine, 9 firefighters, 3 junior firefighters responded, traveled 10 miles, and we were in service 3 hours and 9 minutes. 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Oct. 26th at 500 Becker Road for a minivan that crash into a pole, driver hit windshield but was out walking around the pole.  Fire Dept. services were not needed.  1 engine, squad, 9 firefighters, 2 junior firefighters responded, traveled 6 miles, and we were in service 19 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 8 incidents for the month of October.  Responding to those calls were 62 firefighters, 1 fire police, 14 junior firefighters, 2 ambulance personnel, traveled 46.5 miles, and we were in service 5 hours and 37 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 66 calls, 137 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,015 miles and we were in service 54.6 hours. 

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 74 for the month of October.
