Incident

PUBLIC SERVICE – Mar. 2nd   at 25 Earl Lane for 2 children locked in home but upon our arrival the Regional Police had gained entry to the home. 1 engine, duty vehicle, 5 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 10 minutes.

PUBLIC SERVICE – Mar. 2nd   at 3 Edgewood Drive for a tree in the process of blowing over with a receptacle and underground utility line, turned breaker off for line and told owner to call a tree service.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 12 firefighters responded, traveled 2 miles and we were in service 30 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 2nd at 117 Leaman Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling for a chimney fire but held in staging.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 5 firefighters, 2 Jr. firefighters responded, traveled 10 miles and we were in service 38 minutes.

STANDBY – Mar. 5th at 6076 Pine Street for a standby at East Petersburg Fire Co. while they were on an outbuilding fire.  1 engine, 4 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 20 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 36 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 10th at 1470 Hunsicker Road for an assist to Eden Fire Co. on a dwelling fire, we were the RIT team.  1 engine, 8 firefighters, 1 fire police responded, traveled 14 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 15 minutes.

STANDBY – Mar. 10th at 200 E. Oregon Road for a standby at Neffsville Fire Co. while they were on a dwelling fire and vehicle accident.  1 engine, 7 firefighters responded, traveled 12 miles and we were in service 50 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 13th at 560 Furnace Hills Pike for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a commercial building fire. 2 engines,  squad, duty vehicle, 12 firefighters, 2 Jr. firefighters responded, traveled 8 miles and we were in service 11 hours and 40 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 13th at 20 Loop Road for an assist to Brunnerville Fire Co. on an apartment building fire.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 7 firefighters responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 44 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 17th at 817 Rothsville Road for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire but we were recalled while responding. 1 engine, 14 firefighters, 1 fire police, 4 Jr. firefighters responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 9 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Mar. 21st at E. Newport Road and Homestead Drive for a multiply vehicle accident with injuries.  Squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 11 firefighters, 1 fire police, 2 Jr. firefighter, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 14 minutes. 

ASSIST CALL – Mar. 26th at 97 Hillside Drive for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on a dwelling fire, held in staging.  1 engine, 10 firefighters, 1 Jr. firefighter responded, traveled 10 miles and we were in service 20 minutes.

CO INVESTIGATION – Mar. 27th at 1040 Log Cabin Road for a CO Alarm with no one feeling ill but changed battery in detector and reset system.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 firefighters, 2 junior firefighters responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 27 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 12 incidents for the month of March.  Responding to those calls were 103 firefighters, 3 fire police, 15 junior firefighters, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 90.5 miles, and we were in service 18 hours and 33 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 74 calls, 157 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,093 miles and we were in service 69.5 hours.

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 86 for the month of March.
