Incident

ASSIST GAS LEAK – December 8th at 101 Maple Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a gas leak at the Lititz Water Works.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 13 fire personnel responded, traveled 7 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 25 minutes.

ALARM BELLS – December 15th at 49 Conrad Lane for an alarm going off for about an hour, building being evacuated.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 20 minutes.

INVESTIGATION – INSIDE – December 19th at 112 Meadow Lane for a smell of gas and eggs in two rooms, bedrooms (had gas filled today).  1 engine, duty vehicle, 6 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 21 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – December 19th at 929 Erbs Quarry Road for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a barn fire, second alarm.  2 engines, 12 fire personnel responded, traveled 12 miles and we were in service 4 hours and 55 minutes.

ASSIST EMS CARDIAC ARREST – December 21st at 1105 E. Newport Road we were not needed person down for a while.   1 engine, duty vehicle, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 7 minutes. 

STANDBY/TRANSFER – December 26th at 200 E. Oregon Road for a transfer Eng. 24-1 to Station 207 for standby while they were in Lancaster City for an apartment building fire.  1 engine, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 12 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 33 minutes.

DWELLING FIRE – December 30th at 164 Windy Hill Drive for a CO alarm sounding in basement and light smoke in basement, everyone evacuated.  2 engines, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 2 miles and we were in service 39 minutes.  Assisting on the call was Lititz engine 25-1, truck 25, Brunnerville tanker 22, West Earl tanker 29, Warwick Intermediate 85-22 and 2 officers from NLCRPD.  Chief held this call to 24 units only after 5 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 7 incidents for the months of December.  Responding to these calls were 70 fire personnel, traveled 37 miles, and we were in service 6 hours and 20 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 107 calls, 147 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,257 miles and we were in service 69.8 hours.
