Incident

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Oct. 5th at intersection of Main and Church Streets for 2 vehicle accident with no injuries.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile, and we were in service 49 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 9th at 1012 Lititz Pike for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a commercial building, Kissel Hill Cleaners, fire and smoke.  1 engine, 11 fire personnel responded, traveled 8 miles, and we were in service 1 hour and 38 minutes. 

ASSIST – Oct. 12th at 135 N Cedar Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on an outbuilding, full involved garage.  1 engine, 7 fire personnel responded, traveled 8 miles, and we were in service 1 hour and 30 minutes. 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Oct. 16th at Millway and Meadow Valley Roads for a 2 vehicle accident with 1 male patient and blocking.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 4 miles, and we were in service 28 minutes. 

AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARM – Oct. 17th at 14 Church Street for an automatic fire alarm on the 1st floor in the rear of building and unable to reset.  We will need a runner to reset alarm.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 7 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile, and we were in service 21 minutes. 

MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT – Oct. 19th at 2036 Main Street for a motorcycle down and driver sitting up, no fire dept. services needed.  Ambulance will handle. 1 engine, ambulance, 17 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile, and we were in service 6 minutes. 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – Oct. 19th at 1201 E. Newport Road for a vehicle into a PPL pole with wires on the vehicle and power outage in the area.  PPL pole will need immediate attention.  Ambulances will handle injuries.  1 engine, squad, 2 ambulances, 15 fire personnel responded, traveled 3 miles, and we were in service 1 hour and 19 minutes. 

INVESTIGATION CO ALARM – Oct. 21st at 29 Warwick Road for a CO alarm investigation, was reported false by owner.   1 engine, duty vehicle, Lt 5 vehicle, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled 3.5 miles, and we were in service 20 minutes. 

UTILITY WIRES FIRE – Oct. 27th at 2003 Old Rothsville Road for a PPL pole on fire at the top of pole, County notified PPL.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled 2 miles, and we were in service 1 hour and 25 minutes. 

ASSIST SPILL CONTROL – Oct. 30th at Industrial & Newport Roads for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on a truck spilled significant amount of grain/feed on the roadway near the car wash.  1 engine, squad, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 5 miles, and we were in service 32 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 10 incidents for the month of October.  Responding to those calls were 109 fire personnel responding to the calls, traveled 35 miles, and we were in service 8 hours and 28 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 107 calls, 220 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,320 miles and we were in service 74.0 hours. 

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 117 for the month of October.
