Incident

ASSIST CALL – May 1st at Juniper/Sturgis Lanes for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a vehicle accident for Command Officer.  Chief Officer responded, traveled .5 mile and he was in service 3 minutes. 

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – May 5th at 151 Church Road for a vehicle accident with PPL pole sheared off and driver out of vehicle.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 13 fire personnel responded, traveled 2 miles and we were in service 49 minutes.

DWELLING FIRE – May 6th at 2523 Rothsville Road for a second floor bedroom fire with the PSP Fire Marshal input as to the cause of the fire.  2 engines, squad, ambulance, duty vehicle, 18 fire personnel responded, traveled 1.5 miles and we were in service 1 hour 19 minutes.  Assisting fire companies were:  Brunnerville engine 22-1, West Earl engine 29-1, Lititz truck 25, PSP Fire Marshal and NLCRegional Police Dept.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – May 9th at 1500 Rothsville Road for a vehicle accident with vehicle into a tree and driver no hurt.  1 engine, ambulance.  1 engine, ambulance, 5 fire personnel responded, traveled 2 miles and we were in service 10 minutes.  

SPILL CONTROL FROM MVA – May 12th at 1177 E. Newport Road for a vehicle accident with blocking for a tractor trailer and a Toyota.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 2 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 4 minutes.  Assisted by Fire Police Station 22, West Earl Fire Co. traffic 29 and NLCRegional Police.

ASSIST CALL – May 13th at 800 E. Newport Road for an assist to Brunnerville Fire Co. on a reported vehicle accident with entrapment, pop door.   1 engine, duty vehicle, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 29 minutes.  

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – May 16th at 2108 Main Street for a vehicle accident but Assistant recalled fire department, not needed.  Assistant Chief, ambulance. 12 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 5 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – May 19th at 148 Snavely Mill Road for an assist to Brunnerville Fire Co. on a reported dwelling struck by lightning but we were recalled while responding.   1 engine, duty vehicle, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 12 minutes.

INVESTIGATION – UTILITY WIRES – May 19th at 2176 Main Street for a reported transformer blew in the area, PPL pole 44213/S30146.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 16 minutes.

INVESTIGATION – UTILITY WIRES – May 19th at 31 Opal Drive for a reported pole down in the trailer court that is sparking but no fire.  1 engine, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 2.5 miles and we were in service 11 minutes. 

ASSIST CALL – May 21st at 32 Conrad Lane for an assist to Ambulance 24-1 on a cardiac arrest.  Squad, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 54 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – May 23rd at 342 E. Main Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire but we were recalled upon our arrival.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responding, traveled 6 miles and we were in service 12 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – May 28th at 1633 Rothsville Road for a vehicle accident between a box truck and a small sedan, spill control and confinement.  1 engine, ambulance, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 30 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 13 incidents for the month of May.  Responding to those calls were 130 fire personnel responded, traveled 29.5 miles and we were in service 6 hours and 14 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 85 calls, 202 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,282 miles and we were in service 58.8 hours.
