Incident

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – January 5th at Skyview Lane/E. Newport Road for a vehicle verses a horse and buggy with no injuries and per NLCRPD no fire or EMS needed.  1 engine, squad, ambulance, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 8 minutes.

STANDBY/TRANSFER – January 6th at 6076 Pine Street for a transfer Eng. 24-2 to Station 23 for standby while they were on another call. 1 engine, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled 17 miles and we were in service 56 minutes.

SPILL CONTROL – January 14th 800 Blk Disston View Drive for a passerby reported diesel fuel spill but it was unfounded.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, 19 fire personnel responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 12 minutes. 

ASSIST CALL – January 15th at 24 E. Orange Street for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled 8 miles and we were in service 23 minutes.

DWELLING FIRE – January 19th at 14 Star-Lite Drive for a dwelling fire with smoke condition on the first floor.  Chief 25 had command then passed it to Deputy 24.  2 engines, ambulance 24-1, 21 fire personnel responded, traveled 4.5 miles and we were in service 54 minutes.  Assisting were the following fire companies:  Brunnerville engine, Lititz engine and truck.

ASSIST CALL – January 19th at 638 Allegiance Drive for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire.  2 engines, duty vehicle, 16 fire personnel responded, traveled 9 miles and we were in service 47 minutes.

TRASH FIRE – January 21st at 261 Cocalico Road for a trash fire and resident could not extinguish the fire, we responded non-emergency.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 13 fire personnel responded, traveled 3.5 miles and we were in service 57 minutes.  

ASSIST CALL – January 25th at 1046 Lititz Pike for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a building but it was fireworks.  We were recalled while still in station.  Chief, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled no miles and we were in service 6 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – January 26th at 16 Earl Lane for an assist to Rothsville Vol. Fire Co. ambulance on a cardiac arrest.  Squad, duty vehicle, 6 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 37 minutes.

AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARM – January 28th at 6 E. Windy Hill Drive for an automatic fire alarm, upstairs smoke due malfunction.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 2.5 miles and we were in service 15 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 10 incidents for the months of January.  Responding to these calls were 130 fire personnel, 54 miles, and we were in service 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 76 calls, 129 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,021 miles and we were in service 48.0 hours.

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 86 for the month of January.
