Incident

WATER RESCUE – August 4th at 1049 Log Cabin Road for residents trapped in house due to residential flooding.  Boat 47 rescued the residents from the front porch.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, 10 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter, no fire police responded, traveled 5 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 8 minutes.  Assisted by Boat 47 and Rescue 39.

PUBLIC SERVICE – August 4th at 100 Middle Creek Road for water in the dwelling but water too high to get to the dwelling.  Squad, duty vehicle, 7 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 6 miles and we were in service 37 minutes.

WATER RESCUE – August 4th at W. Meadow Valley Road & Old Meadow Valley Road for a vehicle flooded out in the water with driver inside.  We removed the driver from the vehicle and vehicle was still in the water.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 7 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 27 minutes. 

PUBLIC SERVICE – August 5th at 737 E. Millport Road for water in the basement of the mill and we pumped out 60,000 gallons of water. 1 engine, 10 firefighters, 1 junior firefighter responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 1 hour and 31 minutes.

PUBLIC SERVICE – August 6th at 737 E. Millport Road for water in the basement of the mill and we set up an electric pump and left it with Logan Myers until the water is gone.  Squad, 2 firefighters responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 45 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – August 14th at 2178 Main Street for a 2 vehicle accident.  Pick-up truck hit a work truck and trailer and then into the house. 1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 14 firefighters, 2 fire police, 4 junior firefighters, 2 ambulance personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 1 hour and 13 minutes.  Assisted by NLCRPD, Warwick medic 85-10 and West Earl Fire Co. traffic 29.

INVESTIGATION/OUTSIDE – August 30th at 1200 Blk E. Newport Road for reported smoke coming from field near the Rails to Trails, 3 miles from Sheetz but unfounded, Deputy recalled assignment.  1 engine, duty and chief vehicles, 7 firefighters, 1 fire police, 3 junior firefighters responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 9 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 7 incidents for the month of August.  Responding to those calls were 57 firefighters, 3 fire police, 11 junior firefighters, 4 ambulance personnel, traveled 26 miles, and we were in service 5 hours and 50 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 73 calls, 149 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,002 miles and we were in service 58.0 hours.

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 80 for the month of August.
