Incident

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – July 2nd at 1428 E. Newport Road for one vehicle into a pole and bystanders assisted the driver to get out of the vehicle.  1 engine, squad, duty vehicle, ambulance, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled 1.5 miles and we were in service 30 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – July 2nd at 8 Conestoga Manor Mobile Home Park for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on a mobile home but we were recalled while in station.  1 engine, ambulance, 11 fire personnel responded, traveled no miles and we were in service 5 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – July 3rd at 2063 Main Street for a two vehicle accident and they pulled into the parking area at the rear of the building with no injuries.  1 engine, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled .25 miles and we were in service 15 minutes.

STANDBY – July 4th at 24 W. Main Street for a standby at Lititz Springs Park during the annual July 4th Celebration.  1 engine, 5 fire personnel responded, traveled 10 miles and we were in service 5 hours and 14 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – July 7th at Cardinal and E. Newport Roads for an assist to Brunnerville Fire Co. on a vehicle accident with entrapment but recalled while still in station.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled no miles and we were in service 6 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – July 12th at 562 W. Third Avenue for an assist to Lititz Fire Co. on a dwelling fire but was a bonfire in back yard, we were recalled prior to responding.  No engine response, 11 fire personnel responded, traveled no miles and we were in service 3 minutes.

ASSIST CALL – July 14th at 113 S. State Street for an assist to West Earl Fire Co. on an outbuilding fire (detached garage) but we were recalled while we were responding.  1 engine, duty vehicle, 8 fire personnel responded, traveled 4 miles and we were in service 13 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – July 16th at 404 Owl Hill Road for a single vehicle into a Windstream pole with an injured driver.  Child in back seat not injured.  1 engine, squad 24, duty vehicle, 14 fire personnel responded, traveled 4.5 miles and we were in service 32 minutes.

PUBLIC SERVICE/LOCKOUT – July 21st at 608 Owl Hill Road for an adult locked out of their dwelling.  1 engine, squad 24, 16 fire personnel responded, traveled 4.5 miles and we were in service 18 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – July 25th at 2142 Main Street for a vehicle accident involving 3 vehicles, 1 injury and blocking.  1 engine, squad 24, 9 fire personnel responded, traveled .5 mile and we were in service 8 minutes.

VEHICLE ACCIDENT – July 26th at 311 W. Meadow Valley Road for a single vehicle into a cornfield with one female injured.  1 engine, ambulance, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 3 miles and we were in service 46 minutes.

SPILL CONTROL – July 30th at Main Street and Picnic Woods Road for a 3 vehicle accident with blocking of disabled vehicles, no EMS needed.  1 engine, squad 24, deputy vehicle, 10 fire personnel responded, traveled 1 mile and we were in service 34 minutes.

BRUSH FIRE – July 31st at 2 Earl Lane for trees on fire 10 ft. to the rear of the mobile and including the mobile home deck.  2 engines, duty vehicle, 12 fire personnel responded, traveled half a mile and we were in service 47 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 13 incidents for the month of July.  Responding to those calls were 142 fire personnel, traveled 29.75 miles, and we were in service 9 hours and 16 minutes.

The Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance responded to 79 calls, 161 personnel responding to the calls, traveled 1,015 miles and we were in service 59.5 hours.

Total calls for the Rothsville Volunteer Fire Company was 92 for the month of July.
